Le 18 septembre, Daptone Records fêtera ses 13 ans avec la sortie d’une nouvelle compilation intitulée Daptone Gold II. Six ans après son premier volume, cette nouvelle anthologie de 21 titres alignera des sélections signées (entre autres) Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, Charles Bradley, Lee Fields, Antibalas, Saun & Starr, Naomi Shelton & The Gospel Queens et The Budos Band.
Ce recueil disponible en version CD et double-LP proposera également trois titres disponibles uniquement en 45 tours de Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings (« Little Boys With Shiny Toys »), Charles Bradley and LaRose Jackson’s (« Luv Jones ») et The Como Mamas (« Out Of The Wilderness »). Deux titres inédits également au programme avec The Dap-Kings et leur « Thunderclap » et la reprise du standard blues « You Got To Move » par Naomi Shelton & The Gospel Queens.
